Main features

(1) Fire resistance 

Because all mineral cables are composed of inorganic substances, they will not cause fire, nor can they burn or support combustion, and will not produce toxic gases. Even if there is an external flame, the cable can still work normally. After the fire is cleared, the cable does not need to be replaced. It is a real fireproof cable, which provides a foolproof guarantee for the fire protection line and has passed the test of the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC331.  

(2) High current capacity 

Because the normal use temperature of mineral insulated cables can reach 250℃. IEC60702 stipulates that the continuous working temperature of mineral insulated cables is 105℃. This is considering the terminal sealing material and safety needs. Even so, its interception is far more than other For cables, because magnesium oxide powder has a better conductor coefficient than plastic, the same working temperature has a larger cut-off flow. For lines over 16mm, one section can be reduced, and two sections can be reduced for places where people are not allowed to touch .  

(3) Waterproof, explosion-proof, corrosion-resistant 

Because the cable is sheathed with low-smoke halogen-free and high flame-retardant materials, it has high corrosion resistance (the plastic outer sheath is only required in the case of individual chemical corrosion), and the dense pressure between the conductor, the insulation and the sheath is entity. After the overload is cleared, the performance of the cable will not change, and it can continue to be used normally.  

(5) High working temperature 

Because the melting point temperature of magnesium oxide of the insulating layer is much higher than that of copper, the maximum normal working temperature of the cable can reach 250℃ . In the short term, it can continue to operate at 1083 ℃, which is close to the melting point of copper. 

(6) Strong shielding performance 

The copper sheath of the cable is the best shielding protection layer, which can prevent the cable itself from interfering with other cables, and also prevent the external magnetic field from affecting itself. interference.  

(7) Long service life 

Because the cable is composed of inorganic materials, it will not get old, and its minimum service life is more than one hundred years. And the cable can be disassembled and reused along with equipment displacement or line modification.

Fire resistance

Whether in factories or buildings, the safety of electrical wiring is paramount. According to the statistics of relevant state departments, fires caused by electrical circuits account for more than 50% of the causes of fires. The cable is not only the main body in the line, but also the link that is difficult to protect. Therefore, the cable should not only have the ability to resist external flame damage, but also have the characteristics of not generating fire itself. Since the material of mineral insulated cables is uniformly inorganic, the insulator magnesium oxide will not produce open flames when overloaded or short-circuited. Therefore, lines composed of mineral insulated cables will never cause fires. If the fire is caused by other reasons, the cable will not only be tested by the raging fire, but also be continuously impacted by other falling objects. At this time, whether the cable can ensure the normal starting of fire-fighting equipment, the fire extinguishing and the evacuation of personnel without generating smoke and toxic gas is the key to evaluating the fire resistance of the line. 

(2)FireProof ability 


The solution specified in BS6387 (British Standard) is the real test of fire resistance that the cable has undergone in a fire. Because the cable is not immune to external interference during the fire. It will be continuously impacted by fire water, fire and other heavy objects. We know that the fire resistance of organic (plastic) cables is achieved by the mica tape between the conductor and the insulation, and once the plastic fire-resistant cable is burned, the mica and the insulation will form a hard shell and a carbon shell respectively. The carbon shell will conduct electricity when it encounters water, and the mica hard shell will fall off when it encounters water or the impact of other heavy objects. After many tests by foreign authoritative organizations, it has been proved that only mineral insulated cables can meet the BS6387 (British Standard) test. Other fire-resistant cables (NH) relying on mica insulation cannot guarantee the safety of electricity in a fire.
